Le nom Shinobix vient du mot japonais "Shinobu". Celui-ci signifie Stealth, c'est-à-dire en français "la discrétion". "Le nom décrit donc déjà un peu la fonction de ce petit add-on pour harmonica. Le Shinobix est une sourdine pour harmonicas diatoniques qui peut réduire le volume jusqu'à 20% sans affecter la jouabilité. Cet accessoire unique en son genre est composé d'un set de capots pour remplacer les capots en place afin de pouvoir conduire le son dans la sourdine. Le volume perd 15 à 20 dB grâce au Shinobix. Dans le cas du Shinobix Harmonica Silencer SNB-20CVS, il s'agit de la sourdine avec des capots et des vis supplémentaires pour fixer la sourdine à son propre harmonica diatonique Suzuki.

This silencer makes playing needs a bit more effort, but I can now play without blocking the back of the harmonica to mute the sound (about the same amount of muting).

Man kann nur Modelle einsetzen, die mir nicht begeistert. Die Lautstärkendrosselung ist nicht so effektiv, wie erwartet.
I've read the opinions that the technique of playing is the same as without a silencer. This is not true- it's way harder to breath (this is fine as after playing with silencer for a while it got way easier for me to play without one). Unfortunatelly bendings are also way harder to produce- even after working on a technique for a while I still can't make a proper third bend on a third channel. But hey, at least I can do some of my practice without pissing out my neighbours. About the quality- it basically is a way overpriced piece of plastic. Cover plates mounts looks especially fragile- you better don't drop this device because likely you're gonna have to buy a new one. Verdict- as there's no competition and that's just Suzuki's first product of this sort I still recommend buying it.
